Pamela Anderson has spoken candidly about a uncomfortable experience at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, where she found herself seated close to actor and producer Seth Rogen  a turn of events that left her feeling uneasy. Anderson, now 58, shared her reaction during a recent interview on the Andy Cohen SiriusXM show, describing the moment as “weird” and even “a little yucky.”

The discomfort stemmed from Rogen’s involvement in producing and starring in the 2022 Hulu limited series Pam & Tommy. That show dramatized one of the most difficult periods in Anderson’s life — the theft and public release of a private sex tape she made with then‑husband Tommy Lee — a project she has long objected to.

Why the Encounter Felt Unsettling
In the interview, Anderson explained that seeing Rogen — who was seated “in the pit” during the ceremony — made her feel uncomfortable because she had not been consulted about the series that retold deeply personal and traumatic events. “He did that series without talking to me,” she said, adding that the experience made her think, “I’m a living, breathing human being over here.” Although she briefly presented the award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, she chose to leave the event early and go straight to bed rather than linger near Rogen. She admitted that even though she didn’t confront him, she imagined telling him how she felt while sitting in her seat.

Her Feelings on Public Privacy and Portrayal
Anderson’s comments also touched on broader concerns about how celebrities’ lives are portrayed. She said that when someone is a public figure, there’s an assumption they give up their right to privacy — but she strongly disagrees with that idea, especially when it comes to traumatic personal experiences. “Your darkest, deepest secrets or your tragedies in your life shouldn’t be fair game,” she told Cohen. She described the series as depicting “the worst time in my life,” a period she found painful to see dramatized for entertainment, especially without her permission or involvement.

Hopes for an Apology
Despite her discomfort, Anderson did not completely close the door on reconciliation. She said she hopes that one day Rogen might reach out and offer an apology, although she acknowledged that it might not change much at this point. She told Cohen she feels conflicted — hurt by what happened, but busy with her own work and mindful that “there’s worse things going on in the world.” She also noted that, although the incident still affects her emotionally at times, she has stayed focused on her career, sharing that she’s been busy with several film projects over the past year.

Context: The Pam & Tommy Series Controversy
The Hulu series Pam & Tommy recounts the 1995 scandal surrounding the unauthorized release of the tape. Rogen served as both executive producer and actor in the show, which starred Lily James as Anderson and Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee. Anderson has repeatedly said she had no desire to watch the series and felt hurt that her side of the story wasn’t included before it was made. Her reaction highlights an ongoing debate in Hollywood about how much control real people should have over dramatizations of their own lives — especially when those stories involve painful personal experiences.
